Privacy Policy
What information G-NAGS collects from business owners and their customers, why we collect it, who processes it, and how you can have it corrected or removed.
Who this policy is from
This policy explains how Jagatpati Online OPC Private Limited ("G-NAGS", "we") handles personal information on the G-NAGS Business Growth Platform. Our registered office is 39/6 Ram Krishna Road, Rishra, Hooghly, West Bengal – 712248, India.
It applies to three groups of people: business owners who hold a Business Profile, customers who send an enquiry through a Business Profile, and visitors who simply view a page.
Information we collect
- From a business owner: business name, category, location, contact number, the images and videos uploaded to the Business Profile, the mobile number used to sign in, and subscription and payment records (amount, date, and the UPI transaction reference supplied to us).
- From a customer making an enquiry: the name and mobile number entered in the enquiry form, the type of enquiry, and any requirement or preferred call-back time entered voluntarily.
- From a visitor: a page-view record containing the date and a one-way hash derived from the network address and browser identification. This hash cannot be reversed to identify a person; it exists only to count unique visits for a day.
- From an administrator: the email address, an audit record of administrative actions, and the network address from which those actions were performed.
Why we use it
- To publish the Business Profile the owner asked us to publish.
- To deliver an enquiry to the business owner it was addressed to, and to show the owner how many people viewed the page.
- To operate accounts: sign-in, PIN and password changes, subscription periods and renewal reminders.
- To keep the platform secure — rate limiting, sign-in verification, and an administrative audit trail.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry data for advertising.
Who else processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run the platform. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Bunny.net — storage and content delivery for the images and videos uploaded to a Business Profile, and for the official payment QR image.
- Our email provider — delivery of the one-time verification code sent to administrator email addresses.
- Browser push services operated by the visitor's own browser vendor — delivery of new-enquiry notifications to owners and administrators who have switched them on.
- Our hosting provider — operation of the servers and database on which the platform runs.
Enquiry data belongs to the business
An enquiry sent through a Business Profile is delivered to that business and is visible to that business only. No business can see another business's enquiries. G-NAGS administrators can see enquiries for support and moderation purposes, and every administrative action is recorded in an audit trail.
How long we keep it
G-NAGS will retain personal and business-related information only for as long as reasonably necessary for providing services, business purposes, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
When information is no longer required for these purposes, it will be deleted or anonymised in accordance with applicable requirements.
A business can ask us at any time to delete its Business Profile and the enquiries held with it. Payment and audit records are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep financial and security records.
Your choices
- A business owner can edit or remove any content on their Business Profile at any time from their workspace, and can change their sign-in PIN there.
- A customer who sent an enquiry can ask the business, or us, to delete it.
- Notifications are off until you switch them on, and can be switched off again from your settings at any time.
- To ask for a copy, a correction, or the deletion of your information, contact the grievance officer below.
Grievance officer
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the grievance officer for this platform is Bijoy Das, contactable at governance@gnags.com, at the address given above.
